I find forums to be a hive of information and allthough obviously this one is new so there is little to look through so I thought I would seed your minds with a few of my Yorkshire life experiences...

As  child....

Daytrips to 'The Strid' and Bolton Abbey

Passing the  'Pidgeon Pie' on bus trips to the coast

The scarecrows of Wetwang

My first camping trip to Appletreewick and a trek up to Simons Seat

canoeing in the Leeds Liverpool canal

Wax straws and Smiths 'salt and shake' crisps at The Rodley Barge

The thousands of miles I cycled in the Dales places too numerous to mention. I'd do it all again if the traffic was more considerate to cyclists

Kirkstall Abbey

Scarborough North Bay

an Aunts holiday home in Reighton Gap .. now off the cliff..

collecting fossils at the same..

The sunburn on school holidays....Global warming rubbish!!!

etc etc etc

I love beech combing, or just wandering around a beach, you find al sorts of things there, i once found a fossil in a stone, it looked like a large snail shell made of stone...
Wher would i most likely find a Fossil when out and about?
