True cruelty to poultry and other classes of livestock.

With regard to the television programs shown by the BBC hosted by Hugh Fearnly-Witinstall supported by Jamie Oliver regarding the cruelty to poultry kept under intensive farming systems I would like to say that these people were very much mislead and showed a very biased opinion.
Should they wish to prevent real abject cruelty taking place they should take a look at the ritual slaughter that takes place on a regular basis under the names of Kosher and Hal Al.
Not only poultry but large animals such as cattle are slaughtered by having their throats cut, with no prior stunning, and allowed to bleed to death. A painfull and panic stricken death indeed.
If a none Jew or Muslem were to carry out this practice then a hefty fine and possibly a term of imprisionment would ensue.
So come on chaps look at the real problems that face lifestock and leave your dream world behind. Help is needed to stamp out cruelty to animals lets hope that someone can champion them in their real hour of need.
